Regular Meetings

Thursday Morning Prayer Meeting

Meets at 10:00 in church to pray for the needs of the church and the village

Home groups

Small groups meeting informally in people’s homes are a good way for church members to get to know each other better.  They can also help us to grow spiritually and to live out our faith in our daily lives.  Meetings can include worship, Bible study and discussion, courses of various kinds and simply having fun together.

Our existing homegroup, hosted in Huby by Graham and Lynda Jones, will meet at 7.30pm on the first and second Wednesdays of each month from October 2022.  Details from Graham Jones.

For people who’d like to join a new group, John and Claudine Rhodes will shortly be starting one in Easingwold.  This will also meet on the first and second Wednesday in October and continue on whatever day best suits its members. Details from John Rhodes.

We also hope to start a group in Tollerton.  If you’re interested, please contact the vicar, Debbie Coyne.  For further information about any of the groups, please contact Arthur Harland at the Parish Office (

Contemplative Prayer

Every 4-6 weeks, we meet on a Wednesday night at 7:30 to spend some time in a guided time of contemplative prayer. Further information below on the special events section.

Monday Journaling

We meet on the first Monday of the month at 7.15pm.  We choose a passage from the Bible and read it together and discuss what it means to us and which parts of the passage speaks to us as individuals and then we journal. This can take the form of writing, drawing, painting, using stickers, napkins, or any medium.  The journaling can include prayers and thoughts and reference to other books
